In April and May of 2026 I volunteered on the Global Sumud Flotilla as a sailor, support role and photographer. I was on the non-violent direct action humanitarian mission for 7 weeks, starting in Barcelona at the first port and eventually supporting my comrades Istanbul after thier extremely illegal and violent interceptions. I was honored to be a part of this mission working in solidarity with an amazing group of activists from all over the world of different ages and backgrounds.

I shot 38 rolls of 35mm film on my Contax T2 throughout the Flotilla. In September 2026 I gave a slideshow presentation about the mission, my photographs, my comrades, and advocacy for Palestinian liberation. The Flotilla was a monumental experience that taught me so much about solidarity and activism to and the end the illegal Israeli occupation, apartheid and genocide.
